Cattleya Zip was originated and registered by Rod McLellan Co. in 1965. Both of these Cattleya species was previously know as Laelias and could be found in Brazil.

Description:
The candidate plant has 6 flowers on one 36-cm staked inflorescence plus 5 buds on second immature inflorescence. Plant is 57-cm wide by 30-cm tall and growing in 16-cm green plastic pot in bark mix.
