Renanthera monachica Ames, 1915 is accepted species by WCSP, Kew. This species is native to the Philippines. This is a medium sized, hot growing epiphytic orchid,  which reaching 30-60 cm in height. It usually grows as an epiphyte on threes found in open, grassy areas at an altitude of up to 500 meters above sea level.

Description:

Renanthera monachica has 52 flowers and 28 buds on 4 inflorescences up to 35 cm. Plant is 45 cm in height and 44 cm width and growing in almost empty 9.5 cm wood basket with a little of sphagnum moss.
