Rhyncholaeliocattleya Dick Smith  (Rlc. Hisako Akatsuka  x Rlc. Hawaiian Lightning) originated and registered by Hawaii Hybrids in 2006. 

Rhyncholaeliocattleya Dick Smith has many species in background (C. dowiana, C. warscewiczii, C. trianae, C. labiata and few other).

Description:

The candidate has 2 flowers on one staked inflorescences. Inflorescence is 14 cm height. Plant has 6 growths and growing in 12 cm pot. Plant height without inflorescence 31 cm.

Plant has been screened.

Although judges loved nice colored peloric flowers of this Cattleya they noted that flowers are smaller than parent's flowers. This is a first bloom and judges hopes that this plant can produce larger flowers or even produce 3 or more flowers per inflorescence when plant will mature.
