Cattleya maxima, Lindl. 1833 is accepted species by POWO (Kew). Found in Colombia to Peru. There are two type of Cattleya maxima - highland/upland and lowland type.

Description:
There are 26 flowers and no buds on three upright to 30-cm inflorescences (9, 9 and 8 flowers on each inflorescence). Plant is 41-cm wide by 63-cm high. Plant growing mounted on bark cork.
