Cymbidium Mary Green was originated and registered by J. & H. Larsen in 1991 and this is the cross between Cym. Sarah Jean and Cym. devonianum. Cym. Sarah Jean was registered by Valley Orchids in 1973 and this is the cross between Cym. floribundum and Cym. Sleeping Beauty.
Cymbidium Mary Green has several Cymbidium species in the background, however two main species are Cym. devonianum - 50%, Cym. floribundum - 25%.
The candidate plant has clonal name 'Spring Wind'.

The candidate plant has 123 flowers and 51 buds on six inflorescences to 51-cm (26 flowers, and 4 buds; 20 buds; 27 flowers and 10 buds; 16 flowers and 8 buds; 27 flowers and 5 buds; 27 flowers and 4 buds). Plant is 112-cm wide by 54-cm tall and growing in 22-cm Cymbidium plastic pot.
